Good morning class,
This morning we are working on our William Bell Cereal Box Book Reports. In addition to the different items you need to write about, you may add any additional information to add your own creative element ( crossword puzzle, word find, etc). Here is a good site for generating your own puzzles.

Happy Valentine's Day Grade 8,
This morning in Religion, we are discussing healing. Jesus performed many miracles on the sick. When Jesus healed people, He never just cured the body. He always tried to help them become whole again - in their hearts, in their relationships, and in their bodies. This morning, I want you to read more about Jesus healing the sick and then pick one to do a role play on. You will deliver a first hand account of one of the miracles. One person will be a reporter, one person will be the person who was healed and the others will be witnesses.

Good morning everyone!
I hope everyone had a good weekend - hopefully you're all feeling a little better. I still haven't shaken this flu bug so I'm not quite sure I'll be in today. Hopefully a good sleep will be all it takes!
Anyways, I know everyone is on their second William Bell novel (others are on their 3rd, 4th,
5th :) ) William Bell always writes about interesting and controversial issues. I want you to pick one novel that you have read or are reading and do some additional research on its social issue. Once you have found an interesting website, create a link to our BLOG to share with the class. Then summarize why this site was of interest to you.
I was so intrigued by the many orphanages filled with little girls in China after reading Throwaway Daughter. I began to search additional information on these little girls and I came across an inspiring BLOG Getting Elizabeth about a young family in the US and their incredible journey in adopting a little girl from China and very shortly a second little girl. Their journey has been frustrating because of the government's bureaucracy but so rewarding. My heart aches for these throwaway daughters as seen here in a Chinese orphanage. I pray that these little girls will find their way to loving homes. Many of these little girls have been saved from dire situations and they are adopted by loving, devoted parents and given incredible opportunities...these little girls will grow up and make an amazing difference in the world!

Salut!!
Today you are going to begin a Webquest on the Quebec Winter Carnival. I know some of you have even been there, as have I. It was one of the most memorable experiences in my life. You are now going to go on a 'virtual' tour of the carnival. Joyeux Carnival!!
