TGIF!
I hope you're all having a great day! I can't wait until Monday to read your sonnets and listen to you perform your poems! It should be quite entertaining!! :)
We are going to have a special visitor in Wednesday morning. Fadda is a refugee from Liberia and she is kind enough to come in to share her story with us. In preparation for her visit, you will do a search on Liberia. What issues facing the people of Liberia might cause one to flee his/her own country for another? What challenges might you face upon arrival in a new country?. Please respond with some possible reasons why a person from Liberia might seek refugee status elsewhere and some possible questions to ask her. It promises to be an interesting morning.
Have a great weekend and I'll see you all on Monday!!

People there are very poor. Most of the children cant go to school. Unlike here children spend alot of their hours just trying to survive.
They might not speak the language that people speak there. Or maybe you don't have the qualifications to get a job to support your family.
How has your life here been so far?
Have you found a job yet?
Do you think your ever going to go back to Liberia?
