In The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Edmund meets the White Witch and although he knows better than to trust her, he cannot resist the lure of Turkish Delight. "A man is a slave to whatever has mastered him" (2 Peter 2:19). Edmund has the opportunity to turn back but instead he hardens his heart and plunges deeper into sin (Romans 2:5)
Edmund's reaction to the name of Aslan is one of fear and horror. Romans 8:7 says, "The sinful mind is hostile to God." First John 1:5 tells us that "God is light," and as John 3:20 explains, "Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear his deeds will be exposed."
In the battle of good versus evil, everyone is forced to choose sides and take a stand. Jesus told His disciples that they would face great danger because of Him: "You will be betrayed by parents, brother, relatives and friends: One of Jesus' closest disciples became a traitor and betrayed Him to His enemies. Do you know who? (Hint: Read Luke 22:3-6) What connection can you make between the scriptures and TLWW ?

1 Comments:
Judas was the one who betrayed Jesus. I can make the connection of the killing and reserection of Jesus and the killing and reserection of Aslan. That is the biggest connection in the book.
